Noticeboard

We are aware of the difficulties that some of our patients are experiencing in getting through to the practice on the telephone. We do apologise and we are working hard to resolve this with our IT/Telephone supplier. We are aware that during peak periods (e.g. Monday morning) phone lines tend to be by far the busiest. Practices in Pennine Lancashire are working with the supplier to migrate away from what was an old system to a new one and this work will conclude soon. This new system has additional capacity for practice when they are experiencing a high volume of calls. We will keep patients up to date with this and in the meantime as you to bear with us, particularly during peak periods.

If you are age 18 or over with underlying health conditions or are age 36 or over you can use the following link to book your COIVD-19 Vaccination online

Please do not turn up at the surgery, your condition still must be triaged by the GP or nurse.  From Monday 17th May 2021 patients will be given a choice of face to face appointment when they speak to the clinician.  We are still required to socially distance within the practice and cannot accept walk-in patients without appointments.

Please note that we are not able to provide you with proof of your COVID-19 Vaccination status. Please use the NHS app. If you do not have a smart phone you can request a letter from 5 days after your vaccination from the NHS helpline 119. More information is available at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/demonstrating-your-covid-19-vaccination-status

Our prescription line has returned to the pre-COVID service and will be reserved for housebound patients only between 10am and 12 noon Monday to Friday.

All other prescription requests should be made via the patient apps, email, website prescription page or post your slip through our letterbox.

If you or any household member are awaiting COVID-19 test results or have symptoms please contact us and rearrange your appointments.  If you attend and then test positive the GP or nurse will have to isolate for 14 days further reducing already limited appointments.

How to Access appointments -  From May 2021 all GP appointments will first receive a telephone call.  If a face to face appointment is necessary the GP will arrange this with you.  We still need to be vigilant and help to stop the spread of Coronavirus.

Your practice is open for you and if you need to see a GP please ring us on 01254 287150 between 8am and 6.30pm.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) is still with us.

Please ensure you bring a face covering (to cover both your nose and mouth) if you are asked to attend by the GP or nurse.

# limit contact with other people

# keep your distance if you go out or at work (2 metres apart where possible)

# wash your hands regularly

# do not leave home if you or anyone in your household has symptoms.

YOU must let us know if you have any symptoms suggestive of coronavirus.

If you do not tell us or attempt to hide symptoms from us we are ALL at risk of becoming unwell.

If staff become unwell the surgery may have to close.

Help is available by telephone or video call and most routine face to face tests or treatments can wait until your symptoms have gone away.

Stay at home and protect the NHS and other members of the public.

Please do not to a GP, Pharmacy or hospital if you have a high temperature of 37.8 or above or a new continuous cough or loss of taste or loss of smell.
